Dinosaur Origin gives you a limited number of rewarded hunts. That turns resistance into an opportunity-cost decision: spending a claim on a weaker target means that claim cannot be used later on a stronger target after the Biotech Lab moves.
- Do passive production and resistance upgrades before spending the day's limited claims whenever the upgrade is realistically within reach.
- Use the highest target your resistance and formation can clear reliably.
- Do not hold claims so long that you risk losing them at reset; this is an efficiency rule, not a reason to miss rewards.
Build the jungle engine before chasing combat power.
The strongest early path is simple: build every Greenhouse, push the Biotech Lab, place Alliance Centers, attack the highest useful dinosaurs, and join rallies when your own resistance is not high enough.

Do not spend all 15 claims without considering which reward matters most. Velociraptors are the main source of Cretaceous Scales and Glory, while Stegosauruses add Ancient Dino Eggs.
