Forging Guide
Go to +2. Stop there.. unless you are prepared to finish the ride to Mythic.
Forging Stones are too scarce to spend without a plan. The five prerequisite stages look like a smooth progression, but their efficiency is not smooth at all: the +2 upgrade gives the best stat value per Stone, while +3 through +5 become dramatically less efficient.
Do not park expensive gear in the middle.
- 0 → +2: 80 Stones for +30% basic stats
- +2 → +5: 600 more Stones for only +70% more
- +2 → Mythic: 900 more Stones + 50 Pulse Modules
- Default: spread +2 across useful gear before going deeper
Stage +2 is where Forging Stones work hardest.
Reaching +2 still costs 80 total Forging Stones for +30% total basic stats, but the key efficiency number is the +2 step itself: 50 Stones buy +20%, or 0.40% basic stat per Stone. No other prerequisite stage gives more value for each Stone spent.
Why +2 beats the middle stages
This compares each forging stage on its own: the basic-stat boost gained at that stage divided by the Forging Stones required for that stage.
| Stage reached | Stone cost for step | Boost gained | Total boost | Cumulative Stones | Value of this step / Stone |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| +1 | 30 | +10% | 10% | 30 | 0.33% |
| +2 | 50 | +20% | 30% | 80 | 0.40% |
| +3 | 100 | +20% | 50% | 180 | 0.20% |
| +4 | 200 | +25% | 75% | 380 | 0.12% |
| +5 | 300 | +25% | 100% | 680 | 0.08% |
| Mythic | 300 | +100% | 200% | 980 | 0.33%* |
*Mythic returns roughly 0.33% basic stat per Forging Stone from its 300-Stone step, but it is not directly comparable to the five prerequisite stages because the conversion also requires 50 Pulse Modules. The +2 step remains the best ordinary Forging Stone value at 0.40% per Stone.
The efficient forging path
Treat +2 as the normal destination and Mythic as a separate all-in project.
Forge one piece straight to +2
Do not spread 30-stone +1 upgrades across several pieces first. A complete 0 → +2 path costs 80 Forging Stones and produces a 30% total basic-stat increase. More importantly, the +2 step itself is the most efficient prerequisite stage at 0.40% basic stat per Forging Stone.
Repeat the +2 breakpoint across your main formation
Prioritize equipment that is actually worn by your first fighting formation. Once those pieces are covered, repeat the same breakpoint on gear you actively use before pushing a random piece deeper.
Park the piece at +2
If you are not preparing to complete Mythic, stop. The value of each additional stage drops sharply after +2: +3 returns 0.20% per Stone, +4 about 0.12%, and +5 only about 0.08%.
Only cross +2 with a full Mythic plan
From +2, completing +3, +4, +5, and the final Mythic conversion requires another 900 Forging Stones, 420M Electricity, and 50 Pulse Modules. Treat that as one commitment, not four casual upgrades.
Stop at +2
Use Forging Stones to build breadth across equipment that actually fights for you.
- Finish your main formation first
- Repeat +2 on additional active gear
- Do not create a collection of +3/+4/+5 half-projects
Save the whole +2 → Mythic package
Once you cross the breakpoint, plan to finish rather than stopping midway.
Forging stages have equipment prerequisites
Forging does not replace normal equipment enhancement and Power Core promotion. Later stages remain locked until the underlying piece is developed far enough.
| Target stage | Equipment level | Promotion requirement | Forging Stones | Pulse Modules |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| +1 | 20 | 1 completed star | 30 | — |
| +2 | 30 | 1 completed star | 50 | — |
| +3 | 50 | 1 completed star | 100 | — |
| +4 | 50 | 2 completed stars | 200 | — |
| +5 | 60 | 2 completed stars | 300 | — |
| Mythic | 60 | 3 completed stars | 300 | 50 |
Forging Stones are slow. Pulse Modules are the wall.
That difference is why a half-finished Mythic attempt can trap a lot of value in inefficient stages.
Earnable.. but scarce
Community references report Forging Stones from selected high-rarity Bounty rewards, Tyrant activity, Mythic events, milestone tracks, and paid offers. Exact sources change by server age and event rotation.
Strategy: spend them at breakpoints, not whenever you receive them. The final conversion bottleneck
The final Mythic conversion requires 50 Pulse Modules per piece. In the sources checked for this guide, they are tied primarily to expensive event milestones or offers rather than dependable routine free income.
Strategy: do not assume you will “find the Modules later.”Mythic is much bigger than a 980-Stone decision
The final red conversion concentrates the rarest material in one step, while the full cost multiplies quickly across a hero or an entire formation.
The five prerequisite stages consume 680 Stones + 260M Electricity. The final Mythic conversion alone adds another 300 Stones + 50 Pulse Modules + 200M Electricity.
That is why Mythic should be planned piece by piece. Fully converting all four standard equipment slots on one hero is already a major long-term project.
This is the scale behind the recommendation to build useful breakpoints first. A fully Mythic standard-equipment set across five heroes is not a normal short-term upgrade goal.
The Stones for one full Mythic piece can take 12 pieces to +2.
One 0 → Mythic path uses 980 Forging Stones. Twelve separate 0 → +2 upgrades use 960 Stones. Those are not identical combat gains because different equipment pieces carry different stats, but the comparison shows just how much breadth you give up when you choose one deep Mythic project.

The important planning point: having enough Forging Stones to reach +5 does not mean you are close to Mythic. The 50 Pulse Modules do nothing for +1 through +5, then become mandatory all at once at the final conversion.
If an eligible exclusive equipment piece is also part of your plan, add another 980 Stones, 50 Pulse Modules, and 460M Electricity for that piece. Exclusive-equipment availability and eligibility vary by hero, so the formation total above intentionally counts only the four standard slots.
Make the same Stones score twice when possible
Forging is permanent account growth. If the current event schedule also rewards it, wait for the scoring window.
Check the live task list before forging.
On the current Alliance Duel schedule, Forging Stones and Pulse Modules score on Tuesday — Shelter Upgrade. That makes Tuesday the natural day to execute a planned +2 or Mythic upgrade when you can wait. Full Preparedness and server-age scoring can still change, so confirm the live task list before spending. See the Alliance Duel guide →
Common forging mistakes
Most wasted Forging Stones come from progressing without deciding where the piece is supposed to stop.
Taking several pieces to +1 instead of completing the stronger 0 → +2 breakpoint.
Pushing one piece to +3, +4, or +5 without having a realistic path to the final Mythic conversion.
Spending scarce Forging Stones on equipment that is not part of your active fighting formations.
Confusing +5 with Mythic. +5 finishes the five stone stages; the final Mythic/MAX conversion is a separate step.
Ignoring the Power Core promotion and equipment-level requirements that unlock later forging stages.
Forging just because the button is available instead of checking current Alliance Duel and Full Preparedness scoring first.
+2 is a breakpoint. Mythic is a project.
Take useful orange equipment to +2 because the +2 upgrade is the most efficient ordinary Forging Stone stage. Spread that breakpoint across the gear that actually fights for you. Only push past +2 when you have deliberately chosen that piece as a Mythic target and have a realistic path to finish it.
