State Migration Guide
Moving states takes more than migration passes.
A practical guide to moving your own account, relocating an alliance group, or managing immigration as State President. Understand the rules, coordinate the people, and finish the move without avoidable surprises.
Verify the live migration event.
Your event screen is the authority for eligible states, identity tier, required passes, invitations, available slots, eligibility conditions, and the exact closing time. Examples and past thresholds are not promises for your round.
How state migration works
State Migration generally begins after Season 2 and returns between later seasons. It is a limited event, not an always-available transfer. Only the states displayed as eligible in your migration event are possible destinations.
Preparation
Review your migration score, identity tier, pass requirement, eligible states, and the available slots. Contact the destination state's alliance leadership before making commitments.
Invitation
The destination President may issue invitations and review eligible immigration applications. Higher-tier players need presidential approval; limited invitations and expiration windows make coordination important.
Free migration
Regular-tier players can usually enter an eligible destination with an open Regular slot without an invitation. Intermediate, Advanced, and Elite players still need an invitation or approved application.
Identity tiers and passes
| Identity | Passes reported in recent rounds | Typical entry route |
|---|---|---|
| Regular | 10 | Invitation or available Regular slot in free migration |
| Intermediate (Medium) | 15 | Invitation or approved application |
| Advanced | 20 | Invitation or approved application |
| Elite | 50 | Invitation or approved application; very limited capacity |
These pass counts are documented examples, not fixed promises. Tier boundaries and state quotas may differ between rounds. Always check the values shown inside your event. The Glory Shop has offered a weekly Migration Pass for Glory Badges; confirm current availability and limits before planning around it.
How to migrate your account
The most important move happens before you press Migrate: find the right state and confirm that you can actually enter it.
Find the right destination
Look beyond a state's largest accounts. Ask about daily activity, NAP rules, SVS coordination, alliance expectations, language, time zone, and whether your friends can join the same state.
Confirm your place
Give your contact your in-game name, current state, displayed Migration Score and tier, available passes, preferred alliance, and any move-together group. Have a backup state if slots are scarce.
Prepare before leaving
Stay in your alliance while planning. Only leave once your destination, approval, passes, and timing are confirmed; leaving too early can interrupt rewards and coordination.
Move and settle in
Follow the live event's migration prompts, join your agreed destination alliance, move to its assigned location, learn local rules, and confirm your account assets and event participation.
Final pre-migration checklist
- Destination state is listed as eligible, with capacity for your exact tier.
- Required passes are in your inventory, and the invitation or approval is valid where required.
- Your Headquarters meets the event's minimum level and is not in combat.
- All outgoing marches, gatherers, scouts, and reinforcements are recalled.
- You are no longer State President and have left your alliance only when ready to transfer.
- You have not migrated already in this event and meet any cooldown requirements.
- You understand the deadline and have confirmed where you'll go after arrival.
Managing migration as an R4 or R5
A strong migration plan protects the group, not just the strongest individual player. Coordinate receiving alliances, limited tiers, travel timing, and expectations before invitations begin.
Define the goal
Are you rebuilding, relocating an entire alliance, recruiting specialists, or seeking a more active state? Clarify non-negotiables such as NAP policy, language, participation requirements, and whether the group must stay together.
Build a verified roster
Record player name, original state, official tier and score, passes ready, time zone, destination alliance, assigned coordinator, and whether they must migrate with a partner or group. Separate committed players from interested prospects.
Coordinate with the destination
Agree on how many places exist in each tier. Confirm exactly who can allocate them and who will handle applications, invitations, arrival support, and leadership communication.
Sequence the move
Set a window when the President and candidates are online. Track invitations sent, approvals, migrations completed, and stalled accounts. Keep a fallback plan if one tier fills or a player misses the deadline.
Integrate arrivals
Prepare alliance places and hive locations, share state policies and SVS expectations, help with language/time zones, and assign someone to welcome each incoming group.
Managing migration as President
The President controls key immigration decisions, but a healthy state needs a transparent process shared with its major alliance leaders—not an untracked queue of private promises.
Establish statewide priorities
Agree on needs before applications arrive: alliance participation, SVS coverage, language/time zones, activity, experienced leaders, and a sustainable mix of player tiers.
Publish the intake policy
Tell alliances who can nominate candidates, how approval decisions work, when names must be submitted, and what information the migration team requires. Set a clear cutoff for late requests.
Protect scarce quotas
Review the live state's Regular, Intermediate, Advanced, and Elite capacities. Higher tiers may have just a handful of places or none. Allocate based on long-term fit, not solely displayed power.
Keep one source of truth
Use a shared roster with a named owner for each candidate. Track proposed, vetted, slot allocated, invited, approved, arrived, declined, and backup status; remove duplicates across alliances.
Suggested presidential approval workflow
Before sending an invitation, check the candidate's displayed identity tier, actual remaining tier quota, receiving alliance, group dependencies, and contact person's confirmation. Invitations or applications may expire quickly—often around 24 hours—so avoid sending them when nobody can act.
Keep recruiting decisions consistent. Document why exceptions are made, distinguish actual approvals from provisional agreements, and review how incoming players affect smaller alliances and statewide cooperation.
Quick answers
Can a Regular player move without an invitation?
Usually yes, during the Free Migration phase when an eligible destination still has an open Regular slot. Other event conditions and any restrictions still apply.
Can an entire alliance migrate together?
Players migrate individually, not as one alliance transfer. Coordinate each player's tier, passes, approval, and receiving alliance before anyone leaves.
Can a President migrate?
Not while holding the presidency. A President intending to leave must arrange succession and relinquish the role before migrating.
Can I deliberately lower my score to get a cheaper tier?
Migration Score has been documented as retaining the account's highest recorded value. Reducing current visible power should not be treated as a way to qualify for a lower tier.
