Seasons 0–1
State Foundations

Early Seasons

Season 0 and Season 1 are best understood as one overlapping opening era. During the state's first several months, the game introduces the event cycles, alliance competition, state leadership, and cross-state systems that continue shaping play long after the early game ends.

One Connected Opening Era

Why Season 0 and Season 1 share one page

These phases do not behave like two clean, separate themed seasons. Their systems appear gradually and operate together for roughly the first four to five months of a state. The important story is not where one label ends and the other begins.. it is how the state develops.

01
The Progression Arc

From personal growth to state warfare

The opening months steadily widen the scale of play. What begins as personal timing becomes alliance planning, then full-state coordination.

Stage 1

Personal Timing

Full Preparedness begins teaching players to save upgrades for the correct scoring window.

Stage 2

Alliance Coordination

Greatest Governor and Alliance Duel turn daily upgrades into a structured weekly cycle.

Stage 3

State Competition

Capital Clash and State Ruler expand coordination beyond one alliance and into state-wide play.

02
Events Introduced

The systems that define the early state

These events establish the timing, cooperation, and state structure that remain important through every later season.

Recurring

Full Preparedness

One of the earliest recurring events. Its short themed rounds reward construction, research, hero, vehicle, and troop progression at specific times.

What it introduces Timed resource use and event stacking
Early milestone

Greatest Governor

An early individual competition that previews the themed daily structure later used by Alliance Duel.

State milestone

First Capital Clash

The first internal Capital battle marks the state's transition from separate alliances to a formal state leadership structure.

What it introduces Capital ownership, ruler authority, and state titles
State-wide

State Ruler

Once state competition begins, results from individual, alliance, and state activities contribute toward one combined state performance.

What it introduces State-wide scoring and cooperation
🏰 Cross-state

State-vs-State Capital Clash

The preparation phase determines which state invades and which state defends. Saturday's Capital battle becomes the conclusion of a full week of state-wide effort.

What it introduces Invasion rights and organized cross-state warfare
03
Early Unlocks

Smaller milestones worth documenting

Not every important early-state change is a headline event. These smaller unlocks shape hero access, alliance growth, government, and cross-state play.

Hero event

Vivian's Trial

Vivian's Trial is a recurring in-game event where you collect maps dropped by Boomers to summon and defeat Berserker Zombies, earning Vivian Fragments to star up the hero. You can also use beacons to team up with other players and keep auto team-up active for extra books and random drops.

Alliance Recognition

Alliance Duel makes Alliance Recognition research especially important, because it expands the number of personal reward chests available during the weekly duel cycle.

State government

Ruler Titles & State Buffs

Capital control introduces official appointments, titles, and state-level benefits. Leadership now affects players beyond a single alliance.

Cross-state access

Enemy-State Activity

Trucks, plundering, Enemy Buster, and Capital warfare gradually teach players that the map is no longer limited to their home state.

The Lesson of the Era

Save. Stack. Coordinate.

Season 0–1 is where Last Z stops being a collection of unrelated upgrades. Players learn that the same action can score in multiple events, that alliances benefit from shared timing, and that state success eventually depends on several alliances working together.

1 Save resources for the correct day.
2 Stack Alliance Duel with Full Preparedness.
3 Build alliance habits before state warfare begins.
What Comes Next

Transition to Everfrost

By the time the state reaches Season 2, the foundational event cycle is already established. Everfrost does not replace these systems.. it adds a fully themed seasonal layer with new enemies, resources, buildings, events, and Mastery progression.
